Living in Lakeridge

Lakeridge is a private residential neighborhood located on the Nevada East Shore of Lake Tahoe. Developed in 1966, the community comprises approximately 75 homes, ranging from custom residences tucked among mature pines to a collection of nine lakefront properties in Lower Lakeridge. Known for its larger homesites, quiet streets, and convenient location, Lakeridge appeals to homeowners seeking a peaceful year-round or seasonal retreat with easy access to Lake Tahoe's outdoor recreation.

A defining feature of the community is the private homeowners' beach area, pier, and picnic gazebo, providing residents with convenient access to the lake for swimming, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, and relaxing along the shoreline. The limited number of lakefront homes and shared waterfront amenities contribute to the neighborhood's intimate feel while preserving its residential character.

Lakeridge is not governed by a Homeowners Association, offering homeowners greater flexibility in the ownership and management of their property. The neighborhood is, however, subject to recorded Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs), which help maintain the community's appearance and long-term character. Short-term rentals are prohibited, supporting a quieter environment focused on residential living.

Conveniently located approximately 6.3 miles from the California-Nevada state line and 9.1 miles from Heavenly Mountain Resort's Boulder Lodge, Lakeridge offers easy access to skiing, golf, hiking, restaurants, shopping, and year-round recreation. Douglas County School District bus stops are located at the entrance to the neighborhood along U.S. Highway 50.
